Here is a look at the entry list for this years XR1200 race at Indy. A couple names of note; 1998 AMA Pro 600 Supersport Champion and six time Canadian Superbike Champion Steve Crevier will be on the grid as well as Daytona Sportbike regular Bobby Fong (currently 8th in points) lining up. Also of note, New York native PJ Jacobson in the mix.
Why the extra entries and riders? How about $10,000 worth of prize money if you can do the double!! XR1200′s race on Saturday and Sunday. In AMA Pro racing, that is good chunk of corn.
Just in case you are not aware, the points for the Top 10 after Mid-Ohio has reset to Zero or 1,000… it depends on how you look at it. So the “Chase” for the championship is on. The final five races will decide the 2012 Champ.
